Our lab develops theoretical tools for understanding
neural systems and the computations they perform. We build
statistical models of neural activity, conduct psychophysical
experiments into human perception, and develop Bayesian models
of sensory information processing. We seek to understand how
neural populations process visual information and to discover
the normative principles underlying the brain's unique
perceptual capabilities.
